What Does "On the Spectrum" Mean – And Why I'm Part of ItBeing on the spectrum usually refers to neurodiversity – a broad range of neurological differences, including autism, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), and more. It’s a way of saying that our brains work differently, not wrongly.I'm on the spectrum because I have ADHD. For me, that means a mind that’s always active, ideas that come in bursts, and energy that doesn’t always fit into typical boxes. It also means challenges with focus, restlessness, or overstimulation. But these traits are also part of my creativity, drive, and the way I see the world.Being open about this is important to me – not for sympathy, but for understanding. Neurodiversity is real, and it adds value. And I’m proud to be one voice among many on this spectrum.
